Franklin Bass Anglers

The Three Peat Winners – Recognizing Angling Excellence

Since 1984, the Franklin Bass Anglers have proudly upheld a tradition of honoring remarkable fishing achievements. Although the club’s origins trace back to the 1970s, a fire tragically destroyed all records prior to 1984. Despite this loss, the club has continued to celebrate excellence in angling and document its members’ outstanding accomplishments.

One of the highest honors within the Franklin Bass Anglers is the Angler of the Year award, which the club affectionately refers to as “Mr. Bass.” Achieving this recognition is a testament to an individual’s dedication, skill, and consistent performance throughout the year.

Even more esteemed is the achievement of winning the “Mr. Bass” award three consecutive years—a feat known among members as becoming a “Three Peat” winner. Since 1976, only three individuals have attained this remarkable accomplishment. Their commitment and angling expertise have set a high benchmark for all club participants and continue to inspire both new and experienced anglers alike. The Franklin Bass Anglers recognizes this commitment and expertise awarding a special Three – Peat plaque representing this honor.

Listed below are the only three individuals who have achieved Three – Peat status in the 50-year history of Franklin Bass Anglers.
